Tippecanoe Caught a Bad Flu: William Henry Harrison's Cabinet, 1841

Come assess the future of the United States following our nation's shortest ever presidential term!

Chair | Elizabeth Hardin

Elizabeth Hardin is a second year student from Alexandria, VA studying government and public policy. She has been involved with Model UN since the second day of her college career, and before that was a veteran of multiple high school debate circuts across the US. Outside of MUN, she can be found hanging out at her sorority house, attempting to play pickleball, studying in one of UVA's many libraries, or refilling the coffee machines at UVA's Batten School of Public Policy. She is so excited to welcome you all to Charlottesville this weekend and hopes you love it as much as she does!

Crisis Director | Lukas Barragan

Lukas Barragan is a fourth year at the University of Virginia, majoring in Foreign Affairs. This year marks his second year staffing VICS, having also served as a Crisis Director last year as well. Along with this position, he has been a member of the International Relations Organization since the fall of 2022. In that time, he has served in the IRO’s model UN travel team as well as staffed committees for UVA’s other MUN conferences, VAMUN and VIGMUN. Outside of IRO, Lukas works as a part-time medical transporter for the UVA Hospital Center, and he is an active member of both the Jefferson and Washington debating societies. In his free time, you can find him either reading or going for runs across UVA Grounds. Lukas can’t wait to welcome everyone to UVA this March and serve as the William Henry Harrison committee’s Crisis Director!
