Unique and Innovative Committees
For over a quarter of a century, the Virginia International Crisis Simulation has been hosted at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia. The conference takes place on the historic grounds of the university, which provides an excellent atmosphere for delegates to engage in the debate and diplomacy of Model United Nations. Each year, VICS brings over 400 delegates to the university, and over 100 students contribute to organizing the conference. VICS is a collection of crisis committees inspired by a diversity of topics, regions, and periods. These committees promise to be noteworthy because of the conference's focus on promoting interesting committees and a positive social atmosphere outside committee. VICS committees' small size ensures delegates will participate in exhilarating crisis and debate. We also ensure a mix of traditional and more creative committees that stretch the imagination of delegates to test their critical thinking ability.
