VICS XXVIII Secretariat

Secretary-General |Stella Banino

Stella is a fourth year from Sleepy Hollow, New York, a cute town just outside of NYC that is definitely haunted. She is studying Systems Engineering with a concentration in Global Development Studies. When she's not romancing historical characters in her crisis arc or dreaming up ways to prank your chairs in the name of charity, Stella can be found learning how to cook with her friends, studying at various spots around Grounds (outside no matter how cold it is), and trying not to get lost while running with the club running team. This is Stella's ninth year competing in MUN and her fourth on VICS' secretariat, so she's psyched to lead this year's secretariat to make this the best VICS yet.

Zachary Lederer

Chargé d'Affaires | Zach Lederer

Zach is a third year majoring in Government-Foreign Affairs with a minor in Public Policy & Leadership. Besides serving on the VICS Secretariat, Zach has previously served as one of the head delegates for UVA’s Travel Model UN Team and on VAMUN’s (UVA’s high school MUN conference) Secretariat. When he isn’t doing IRO/MUN related things (as rare as that is), Zach can be found obsessing over basketball (go Wizards!) or watching his favorite sitcoms. Zach is excited to be returning as Chargé d’Affaires for VICS XXVIII and looks forward to meeting everyone in March!

USG Media & Design | Charlie Meyer

Charlie Meyer is a second-year majoring in Computer Science. Within the IRO, he debates for the MUN team, chairs for VAMUN, and is the treasurer of the Organization. Outside of the IRO, he is an avid weightlifter, Formula 1 fan, skateboarder, and knitting padawan. He is super excited to see everyone on grounds this March and have an amazing VICS <3

USG Conference Affairs | Emmett O’Brien

Emmett O'Brien is a second-year from Beaufort, South Carolina, planning to major in Foreign Affairs and French. Outside of IRO, he is a member of the Jefferson Literary and Debating Society and a student assistant at the Miller Center for Public Affairs. In the rare case that he has any free time at all, Emmett can be found competing in trivia tournaments, reading any book by Kurt Vonnegut, or avidly watching college basketball (Go Hoos!). He's excited to welcome all of you to Grounds and is looking forward to an exciting and productive conference!

USG Logistics | Feeman Annas

Feeman is a first year from Fairfax and Fredericksburg, Virginia, planning to major in Biology or Neuroscience (and possibly foreign affairs)! Apart from all things Model UN and International Relations, Feeman can be found playing guitar, going to the gym, watching soccer games, and forcing anyone she can find to go hiking with her. She is always down to try any new food, can probably vibe with anyone's music (seeing that her playlist is a mess), and---being the ever social butterfly---is excited to meet everyone at VICS this year!!

Chief of Staff | Saehee Perez

Saehee is a first-year from McLean, Virginia. She is undecided on her major at the moment, but is interested in pursuing one of the political majors. Outside of IRO/MUN, she is involved in the Jefferson Society (which is also IRO), Student Council, and gun violence prevention advocacy. She also loves drawing, singing Lion King covers with her roommate, and trying new foods if her bank account allows for it. Saehee is so excited to work on making VICS a great conference and can't wait to see everyone on Grounds!

Director-General | Suraj Vaddi

Suraj Vaddi is a first-year studying computer science and math from Northern Virginia. He competed in MUN since freshmen year of high school and helped run two large high-school MUN conferences. In his free time, Suraj can be found grabbing dinner with friends, spending late nights at Clem 2 (if he’s not going out), and doing research at the intersection of environmental science and engineering. He’s super excited to meet everyone at VICS XXVIII and make this weekend a memorable one for everyone!
