JCC: Na’vi-gating Survival, Pandora, 2167

Omatikaya Clan

In the wake of humanity’s return to Pandora, the Na’vi stand at a crossroads between survival and unity. The Omatikaya of the forests and the Metkayina of the reefs must overcome deep-seated tensions as they forge an alliance to defend their world from renewed human aggression. Delegates will navigate questions of leadership, cultural preservation, environmental strategy, and inter-tribal cooperation in a rapidly evolving conflict. Balancing tradition with innovation, this joint crisis committee challenges participants to determine what it truly means to protect Eywa and what sacrifices unity may demand.

Chair - Zachary armentrout

Zachary Armentrout is a first year student from Norfolk, Virginia planning to study Political Science and Psychology. Though this is his first year involved with MUN, Zach is pumped to work on this committee, having grown up watching every Smurf cartoon as a kid (despite being about different blue people). When not doing MUN, Zach can be found around grounds doodling, going on hikes with Matt, watching TV, and trying new foods. He also loves anything water related, including sailing, rowing, swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding.

Crisis director - matthew tam

Matt Tam is a first year student from McLean, Virginia hoping to study Commerce with a minor in Foreign Policy. Having done MUN all 4 years of high school, Matt is excited to chair an awesome committee full of surprises, movie references, and blue people in appearance only, not spirit. When not doing MUN, he is an avid film lover, a guitarist and drummer, and loves to hike with Zach and watch him sail the seas.
