United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime
The Highs & Lows of Global Drug Issues: Managing International Addiction & the Drug Trade
The United Nations Office on Crime and Drugs (UNODC) strives to uphold international welfare, protection from criminal activity, and global security alongside peace. Established in 1997, the committee directs the international community's approach toward mitigating corruption in the forms of terrorism, drug production and consumption, and criminal justice. The committee also contributes to informing the international policies through not only coordinating consensus but also collecting data. Its information driven approach to policies and resolutions are indicated by its estimates on the production and usage of drugs which it aims to address.
