The 9th-century clash between the marauding Great Heathen Army of Norse invaders and the embattled Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms required Viking forces to strategize a way to conquer and settle in England, while the Anglo-Saxons had to unite their fractured kingdoms to defend their lands and culture. With shifting alliances, brutal warfare, and differing worldviews, both sides will battle for the fate of England in a rapidly changing landscape.
