JCC Sax and the City: The Viking Invasions of England (865 AD)- Vikings
The 9th-century clash between the marauding Great Heathen Army of Norse invaders and the embattled Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms required Viking forces to strategize a way to conquer and settle in England, while the Anglo-Saxons had to unite their fractured kingdoms to defend their lands and culture. With shifting alliances, brutal warfare, and differing worldviews, both sides will battle for the fate of England in a rapidly changing landscape.
Chair - prerana srinivasan
Prerana Srinivasan is a second year at UVA hoping to major in Commerce and Biology. She’s been a part of Model UN since middle school and is super excited to serve as JCC Chair at VICS! Outside of MUN, Prerana is involved with the Alternative Investment Fund, Jefferson Literary and Debating Society and volunteers with VISAS. In her off time you’ll probably find her being a D1 yapper to friends who have simply just heard enough or listening to dad rock.
crisis director - jayden kai marquez
Jayden Kai Marquez is a first-year from Stafford, VA, hoping to major in Foreign Affairs. Having run a small conference for his high school, he is excited to run a committee for VICS. Jayden is interested in how delegates will respond to and navigate this perilous time in the English history, and is hoping that you all will make creative decisions. In addition to MUN, he is an active part of the school's Filipino organization. He also enjoys practicing martial arts, crocheting, and reading in his free time.
