DOJ Healthcare Fraud Unit: Cracking Down on Medical Fraud 2022

This committee focuses on members of the DOJ Healthcare Fraud Unit, a division of the DOJ that focuses on the white-collar crime of healthcare fraud. This unit, which conducts the most trials out of any, is devoted to uncovering crimes related to controlled substances, money laundering, and other aspects of healthcare fraud. Members of the committee face a crisis: adulterated drugs are being spread across the country by a variety of different sources. False companies, bad actors, and more abound as restrictions become more flexible in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
