Universal Records Group will be a meeting of the heads of its subsidiary labels. In a concentrated industry, Universal Records Group has a large say in where the entire music industry will go through its internal decisions. As we explore new artists and traverse the volatile influences of pop trends, we hope to see genuine passion for music and a collective exploration of music progression all in the context of profitability of the individual labels and the Universal Records Group as a whole.
Caroline Peters is a second-year interested in political philosophy and peaceful conflict resolution. Driven by her love of debate and learning, Caroline travels on the circuit as a part of the UVa MUN team, serves as the Special Projects Director and Secretary of the Charlottesville Debate League, a non-profit program that teaches debate to middle school and high school students in the Charlottesville area, and represents her fellow students as an Underclassmen Representative on College Council. She is the chargé d’affaires for the Virginia Inter-Generational Model UN Conference and also a proud member of the Chi Omega Sorority. In her free time, Caroline enjoys dancing classical ballet.
Maggie Zhang is a third-year entering into the Commerce School planning on concentrating in Finance and Information Technology. Maggie is the head delegate for Virginia’s Model United Nations Travel team and loves Model UN way too much. Outside of Model UN, Maggie co-founded GirlUp, is in Virginia Consulting Group, UPC Comedy Committee, and Smart Women Securities. For fun, Maggie watches Grey’s Anatomy, Chopped, and Friends. If you’re lucky you might find Maggie playing tennis or field hockey.
